Murdoch’s View of the Future
Forget subsidies for news and let only the strong and adaptable survive

Rupert Murdoch’s opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal underscores his view of news as a business. He believes the government should not help fund journalism because it would only encourage unprofitable behavior, instead of requiring media outlets to give their readers what they desire. He also jabs at Google and online bloggers, “some of our friends online,” who rip-off original stories.
