Microsoft Searches for Market Share

The software company wants to aggregate your news

Microsoft is secretly courting media companies to let them be their search engine of choice, the Financial Times reported. One such talk came with execs at News Corp. Basically, Microsoft is looking to capture some of the aggregated news market held by Google. It’s doing so by sweetening the pot: if all goes through, Microsoft will pay companies such as News Corp to “de-index” from Google.
