While ad revenue is turning around for Google, ad revenues for newspapers are still down. Experts say the current advertising model won’t continue to support accountability journalism and the dysfunctional biz model may fuel “a paperless recovery.” A recent report gives recommendations for ways to promote journalism — think federal funding.
